The Comedy of Errors
Transition Sequence
I was involved in a production of Shakespeare's The Comedy of Errors during COVID-19, which was tough to perform online because the plot can be so confusing. So, we had the idea to create a set of transition sequences in between scenes to help clarify the story.
I pitched the idea of an animated map, influenced by The Marauders Map from Harry Potter, that would show us where the characters traveled throughout the city. I merged it with the style of 1920s-30s classic cartoons, since that's when our play took place, and composited cutouts from 19th-century English maps with animated footsteps and nametags.
Featuring live-action cameos by Estefan Granucci, Skye Maulsby, Kaylani Gaudart, and myself!
